With over 40 Years in business, Jeremy Rothman Carvers and Gilders are industry leaders and specialists in carving and water gilding, bespoke furniture creation, and antique restoration, with all creations exquisitely hand crafted and finished their Hampshire workshops.
Jeremy gained his initial apprenticeship with a Winchester-based carving and gilding studio aged 17 and earned a place in the City & Guilds of London Art School’s prestigious carving and gilding course. In 1987, Jeremy established his own Winchester based workshop, specialising in the exquisite arts of carving, gilding and restoration for the antique trade and private clients. Over the decades the business has flourished and expanded and is now based in his larger premises in the historic Hampshire town of Alresford.
In 2005, Jeremy introduced his collection of made to order reproduction furniture, inspired by the antique originals of the 18th and 19th Century forerunners of the decorative arts; Chippendale, Kent and Hepplewhite, to name but a few.
Today, the studio works closely with various industry leaders of the interiors and decorative arts spheres, creating impressive and beautifully crafted bespoke creations from their workshops in Hampshire.
